The Change
Starts with YOU!
The Change Loudoun Project
The Change Loudoun Project is a local Loudoun County, Virginia initiative aimed at creating awareness for the massive crisis caused by chemical and plastic toxicity and to offer safe, sustainable, and cost effective solutions to make our homes, schools and businesses safer.
Our Misson
The mission of The Change Loudoun Project is to effect change by reducing the environmental and health problems caused by our overuse of plastic containers and household chemicals.
Our vision is for Loudoun County to become a model of change for the nation. We can do this, one family at a time, by creating awareness of these issues and offering safe, cost-effective and sustainable solutions through the use of innovative technology.
Cancer rates are soaring. 1 out of 2 men and 1 out of 3 women will develop cancer. Cancer is the #1 killer of children under age 14. 1 out of 1.6 dogs and 1 out of 3 cats will also develop cancer. Almost every chronic disease is impacted by environmental toxicity. Most of these toxicities are created by the chemical and plastic industries. Plastics are known to cause elevated rates of heart disease, cancer, hormone imbalance, childhood obesity, asthma, food allergies, early puberty, and liver abnormalities. Health related costs from household chemicals amount to $340 billion a year in the U.S.

Reduce your Toxic Footprint
Eight million tons of plastic end up in the Earth's oceans each year creating a serious threat to the food source of billions of people worldwide. On average households uses between 5,000 and 7,000 plastic chemical containers and water bottles per year. Sadly less than 10% of these are recycled. If 1% of the homes in Loudoun participated in The Change Loudoun Project, over 8 million plastic bottles per year would not end up in landfills or our oceans. The need is great and the technology is here to help families and business owners radically reduce their chemical footprint, improve their health and save money.
Cost Saving
Cost effective technology is available for homes, schools and businesses to replace many of the toxic chemicals used with safe, effective alternatives. A family of four using chemical cleaners and relying on bottled water can spend between $3,000 - $6,000 a year on water and almost $800 per year on chemical cleaning supplies. The real staggering price is the health crisis created for our families and pets as well as the long term devastating impact to our environment. Using innovative technologies, your family can expect significant cost saving. And, more importantly, the safety, convenience, quality of life and reduced impact to our environment is priceless.
